Propelled by a standard 2.3-liter EcoBoost® turbo-four engine (270 horsepower/310 pound-feet of torque), the Ranger boasts an available tow rating of up to 7,500 pounds when properly equipped. It also boasts one of the segment's highest max payload ratings at 1,860 pounds.

The Ranger was fully redesigned in 2024, entering its fifth generation with upgraded amenities, more advanced technology, and a ruggedly handsome new look. It also introduced a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine option borrowed from the F-150 lineup, generating 315 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The long-awaited Raptor trim has finally joined the Ranger lineup, utilizing a rowdy 3.0-liter EcoBoost® V6 (405 horsepower, 430 pound-feet of torque) and an extensive assortment of off-road-ready upgrades.

The fifth-generation Ranger received new features, including rear underseat storage, fold-flat rear seatbacks, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
